Growing up around the family lawn care business, Scott Cohen gained a great deal of plant knowledge and appreciation from a young age. As a young adult he struck out on his own and ventured into gardening maintenance and nursery management before rejoining the newly-established landscaping and swimming pools division of the family business, The Green Scene, in 1989.
In 1995, Cohen refocused the business to revolve around high-end residential custom pools and landscaping design and installation. As his reputation as an outdoor recreation design and building expert grew, Cohen started being featured in industry publications and television programs. In 2004, Cohen was honored with his first of six PSN “Masters of Design” awards. In 2005, Cohen started providing his expertise to aid in depositions, trials, and mediations. Soon after he also began offering industry expert seminars at international pool and spa shows and other outdoor recreation events for designers and builders.

"Scott Cohen was our primary pool expert in a construction lawsuit involving a large, all-glass-tile pool at a $25 million residence on the coast of Siesta Key, Florida. The issues were complicated and the stakes were high. Scott was by far the most polished, experienced, and effective pool expert in the case, and largely for that reason, we were able to obtain a very successful result for our client. If you are looking for the premier pool expert, look no further."
“I retained Scott Cohen as an expert witness in a construction defect matter. Scott was very knowledgable and thorough; he was able to pinpoint issues that other experts had missed prior to his retention. Scott helped to prepare the technical questions for the opposing side’s deposition, and made a presentation in mediation that was instrumental in resolution. I would definitely hire Scott in the future”

“Scott, Thank you so much for all of your hard work on this file! We would never have gotten the case resolved absent your thorough and detailed analysis of the facts and evidence in this case. I have no doubt that you would have made a phenomenal trial witness had we gotten that far. Your attention to detail and pleasant demeanor would have been well received in court and would have probably had the defense begging for mercy! Looking forward to our next case together soon!”
