Scott Cohen Recognized as PHTA Volunteer of the Year

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) has named Scott Cohen, President of The Green Scene Landscaping & Pools, as its 2024 Volunteer of the Year. This prestigious award highlights Cohen’s exceptional contributions to advancing professionalism in the aquatic industry through his extensive volunteer work with the organization.

Cohen currently serves as Chairman of the California Pool & Spa Association (CPSA), where he plays a pivotal role in advocating for the pool and spa industry. His efforts have focused on addressing regulatory challenges related to drought and decarbonization, expanding professional certifications, and supporting licensure standards to elevate industry practices.

In addition to his leadership within CPSA, Cohen is a member of the PHTA Builders Council and contributes to the development of industry standards as part of the PHTA-5 Standard Writing Committee for residential inground swimming pools.

Cohen’s dedication exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism that PHTA celebrates, making him a deserving recipient of this year’s award.
